There is nothing so precious as watching your sibling marry the love of his life, except perhaps providing the florals to adorn their celebration. John + Jenna have been together for seven years, and their wedding day was filled with all the goofiness, earnest love, and ecstatic delight they’ve cultivated in their long relationship. Jenna didn’t have much direction to give beyond the color palette and a specific request for roses and gypsophila, which left me plenty of freedom to riff on J+J’s playful energy, the autumnal colors, and the local blooms I was able to source from central Indiana farmers.
As sister-of-the-groom, I was able to sneak in some extra-personal touches too, like hiding a hand-tied fly in John’s boutonniere, to pay homage to his love of fly fishing. Other favorite details include the bridesmaid bouquets zhuzhed up into head table arrangements, the accent installs accompanying the neon “Sullivans” sign, the mothers’ poseys designed as complements to Jenna’s bridal bouquet, and the surprise Lego-themed cake from Jenna to her husband!
