celebrate your way with mellifera

We celebrate queer love and aim to be affirming and expansive in all communications regarding your event. Much of traditional wedding language is gendered and may feel alienating regardless of your gender identity. Please let us know if there are specific terms that feel most affirming of you and your partnership!

Likewise, Mellifera’s approach to wedding florals centers your unique dreams and needs. Want to ditch the traditions that don’t resonate with you? Throwing the smallest of ceremonies and only in need of a sweet sprinkle of blooms? We’re here for it. Mellifera’s wedding services are best suited to down-to-earth couples who trust us to transform their ideas into unique, expressive designs. Bring us all your unconventional, surprising, simple, quirky, and curious ideas!

Explore our three highly customizable floral service tiers to find the perfect fit for your vision and budget.

What’s the inquiry and proposal process?

1) Submit your responses to the Wedding Inquiry form

2) You'll receive an initial estimate and visual proposal from us within one week, as well as our floral services contract.

3) We’ll schedule a brief phone call to discuss the initial proposal and estimate, and any adjustments you’d like to make.

4) When you’re satisfied with the florals proposal, you’ll officially reserve your date with a signed contract and 50% deposit.

5) Congrats! You’ve booked Mellifera for your big day! Upon return of the contract and deposit, we’ll agree upon a final check-in call to review details before your wedding date.

Mellifera is committed to sustainable event floristry - no floral foam here! We offer post-event composting, if you choose not to save your flowers. They’ll return to the compost pile to break down into soil that will nourish future seasons’ blooms.
